Lifetime Achievement 2017

This award is for an individual who has shown a consistent lifetime commitment (20+ years) and made a major contribution to community sport within Lancashire.

Winner: Arthur Malone

Arthur was a coach in Preston Hockey Club, is now 80 years old, before his retirement he was head of English, Drama and Hockey at Preston Catholic College. For 20 years he has coached school boy hockey in school and ran junior hockey for boys and girls on a Sunday morning. Arthur was part of the new wave of coaches opening up hockey to boys and girls from all backgrounds.

Unfortunately Arthur could not be with us on the night, Preston Hockey Club collected the award on his behalf.
